Founded in Dec, 2004, Unitend Technologies Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the company" or "Unitend") becomes an outstanding high-tech company headed in Beijing, China. Unitend is a national qualified IC design company and software company with registered capital of RMB 68 million.

The company is specialized in the research, development, production and the promotion of DTV network security system solutions and DTV terminal solutions including UTI modules, the Chinese CA card-separation standard.

As an important member of ChinaDRM standard group, the company owns the DRM core technology and products, including UDRM digital rights management system and a variety of UDRM security chip.

Possessing the proprietary intellectual property rights of core technology of the two DTV standards, the company is the technology provider and main advocator of ChinaDRM standard and CA separation UTI standard.

By means of independent innovation based on the national conditions in China, absorption of global leading technology and being geared to the actual needs of users, the company has successfully developed a series of UTI and DRM products and won the admiration of the market.

In Nov. 2004, CCTV, together with Tsinghua University, initiated and founded the China Digital Rights Management Forum (hereinafter referred to as CDRM forum). Up till now, members of the forum include over 80 companies, e.g. Intel, Philip, SONY, Panasonic, NDS, Irdeto access, HuaWei，Novel super TV, DVN, CTi, etc. Unitend is one of the earliest and the most important member of the forum.

UDRM digital rights management system is an end-to-end system independently developed by the company, for the purpose of digital content rights protection. UDRM system complies the CDRM standards, compatible with the DVB-CA (conditional access) system, which can be integrated and simulcrypt with most CA systems in the DTV markets, and formed the CA+DRM solutions to the broadcasters and digital television network service providers for their content, value added application and services protection. UDRM system adopts the hardware based high security and integrates the authorized decryption and content descramble in an independ security chip. The UDRM system is capable of providing more safety content protection for the live broadcast service, service on demand, download service, Push VOD service, time-shifting, PVR and many new applications. It is particularly suitable for the development of various new broadcast & television services under digitization and triple play. Unitend has been cooperated with numerous DTV operators, STB suppliers, content providers and television operators in various regions on the UDRM systems.

The UDRM system is primarily composed of the DRM certificate center, DRM pre-encrypted subsystem, key management subsystem, authentication and authorization subsystem and UDRM security chip.

Adopting the hardware protection based solution, the UDRM system is compatible with and supports the DVB CSA（ETR289）standards and supports all CA systems.

The UDRM systems have been successfully installed in CATV, satellite and terrestrial TV network operators in China and Hongkong.

Removable User ID Module has been encouraged by the national policy for digital TV industry in China. The UTI Removable User ID Module was jointly proposed by an industrial consortium of dozens of leading players in China's TV sector led by Tsinghua University in 2002, and now the UTI standards has been published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on Dec. 5th 2007, it is also be supported by the Provision Fifteenth No.1 Article of the General Office of the State Council, and the Universal Transport Interface(UTI) Removable User ID Module standard has achieved independent intellectual property for China.
